EZICHEQ For Scaffolding

Pen and paper based checklists on spreadsheets can seem simple and effective, however leave room for error. With your team in mind, we have established ready to use checklists that have been developed with industry leaders and based on the NZ good practice guidelines.

How to use

  1. Start off by following the same procedure as creating an item by scanning the QR code on your asset label.
  2. Under item type, select ‘scaffold’
  3. By selecting ‘Item subtype’ you will be determining what type of scaffold has been erected for use. This will automatically assign the appropriate checklist ready for use.
  4. Complete the rest of the item details, e.g. Serial No. = Job no. in your system, Description = Address, and builders name.

EZICHEQ Tip: The more information included now, will help when searching for jobs within the Items register on the platform.

Scaffold Selfchecks

It is recommended under the good practise guidelines a pre-start check should be completed before work is undertaken. The self-check option provides anyone access and a guideline of questions to ensure the scaffold is fit for use before commencing work. This is helping put ownership of the safety of the site, back onto the hirer e.g. builder.

Complete your weekly checks on EZICHEQ using the good practise guideline checklists loaded onto the Scaffold item type.

Use the EZILINK label for scaffolds to easily create a site register and view the status of all scaffolds on site. Refer to the EZILINK label section to set this up.

Once complete, scan all individual scaffold labels onto the EZILINK label or enter the codes manually. This creates a complete register of every build on site, ensuring nothing gets missed.

Now that you have set up your items, we can dive into using the EZILINK label to help manage your items across sites. This is a great way to display the safety status of everything on site, and also highlight the items or areas that need improvement. You’ll notice that this method is relatively similar to creating any other item type as we like to keep things easy.

How to use:

  1. Start off by following the same procedure as creating an item by scanning the QR code on your asset label.
  2. Under item type, select ‘EZILINK’ label
  3. Continue to fill in the site details as required. (Try writing in broad terms as this label is a representation of the site you are setting up.)
  4. Assign label

You can assign labels to the EZILINK label using two methods.

  1. From the EZILINK label.
  2. Navigate to the section named ‘Linked Smart Labels’.
  3. Easily scan on labels by using the built in QR scanner on the platform or search by label number to easily add on items.
  4. From the item itself.

Login once the item has been scanned and the ability to link smart labels will be available. Any available EZILINK labels that have been set up in the system will self populate and can easily be linked to. These labels are only displayed using their label number at the moment e.g. AB123C4
